2. How We Collect Information
We collect information directly from you when you complete a form, subscribe, make a purchase, request a personalized plan, contact us, or provide a testimonial. We may also collect information automatically through cookies and analytics tools, and receive transaction or engagement information from service providers that support our website, payments, email, digital-product delivery, physical-product fulfillment, shipping, and delivery.

4. Email Communications
We may use Kit and other email-service tools to manage subscriptions, deliver free resources, and send educational or promotional email. You may unsubscribe from marketing email at any time by using the unsubscribe link in the message. We may still send non-promotional messages needed to complete a purchase, provide a requested resource, respond to you, or administer an existing customer relationship.
5. Cookies and Analytics
Our WordPress website and its service providers may use cookies, pixels, local storage, and similar technologies. These technologies may support core site functions, remember preferences, measure traffic and engagement, help us understand which content is useful, and maintain security.
Analytics tools may include Jetpack, MonsterInsights, Google Analytics, or similar services. You can adjust browser settings to block or delete cookies, but some website features may not work correctly afterward. Where required, we will request consent before using non-essential cookies.

We may also transfer information in connection with a merger, financing, reorganization, sale of assets, or similar business transaction, subject to applicable law.
7. Sale and Targeted Advertising
YHC does not sell personal information for money. Some privacy laws define “sale,” “sharing,” or “targeted advertising” more broadly than an exchange for money. If our practices become subject to such definitions, we will provide any required notices and choices.
8. Data Retention
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described in this policy, including providing services, maintaining business and tax records, resolving disputes, enforcing agreements, preventing fraud, and meeting legal obligations. Depending on where you live and whether an applicable law covers YHC, you may have additional rights, including rights to obtain a copy of information, opt out of certain processing, or appeal a denied request.
Texas residents may have rights under the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act, subject to its scope, exceptions, and applicability requirements. We will evaluate verified requests under the law that applies to the request. We may need information to verify your identity and authority. To submit a privacy request, email elisabeth@yourhomeschoolcompanion.com with “Privacy Request” in the subject line.
